Roger Federer's conqueror Sergiy Stakhovsky saw his Wimbledon campaign ended by Jurgen Melzer on Friday.
Stakhovsky made headlines with a shock four-set win over the seven-time champion in the second round, but could not repeat his heroics against Melzer.
Melzer subsequently ran out a 6-2, 2-6, 7-5,Beats By Dr Dre, 6-3 winner in two hours and 15 minutes, taking his place in the next stage of the draw at the grass-court grand slam in the process.
Stakhovsky appeared to have a foothold in the match as he won the second set in comfortable circumstances to level matters,Billiga Monster.
But his 14 aces overall were somewhat negated by six double faults and 20 unforced errors, all of which combined to hand Melzer the initiative.
And after the match, Stakhovsky lamented his inability to move on from the famous win over Federer.
"Nobody is going to take (the Federer win) away from me,Beats Sverige," he said. "If someone would ask me,Beats by dre, would you rather beat Roger and lose in next round, I would always take it, obviously.
"I'm just a little disappointed that I got so blinded by the game I produced with Roger that I kept going with the same game I played against Jurgen,Monster Beats, which was just not right.
"If I would be just a bit more smarter on that court,Billiga Beats By Dr Dre, I could have been a winner, I think."
