The hyperconnected world of technology, smart phones and the internet is having a significant effect on boredom, Sydneyborn anthropologist Genevieve Bell will tell the TEDx ideas forum in Sydney today.
The Director of Interactive Research and Experience Research at Intel in Portland, Oregon,hogan Interactive, warns that the boredom many experienced during childhood has disappeared and it may have a profound effect on the brain.

"It's harder to be bored than ever, but what are we so frightened of?" she said.

She conceded that technology and the internet had its benefits. "It's great, I love that the world's library is on tap,Nike Free," she said.
"But I worry that it means we won't do enough thinking and we don't get to spend enough time reflecting."
Victoria Whitington,Nike Italy, a program director of childhood development at the University of South Australia, said the use of technology,Gucci Handbag Outlet, especially with children, had its risks.
"The question is still, is it safe, especially with mobile phones," she said.
"The whole exciting world of IT expands the horizons for children. But their development is still primarily built through their relationships, not the internet."
