The Denver Broncos avoided another key major training camp injury on Wednesday. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had to be carted off the practice field with what appeared to be a serious lower left leg injury. It was revealed by the team later,Nike Shox, however, that Rodgers-Cromartie has a high ankle sprain. Coach John Fox told reporters the timetable for his return is 2to-3 weeks.
The Broncos signed Rodgers-Cromartie in March to solidify their outside coverage,Air Max. The former Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals starter is expected to line up opposite veteran Pro Bowl player Champ Bailey to give Denver one of the league's strongest corner duos. His presence is critical during the regular season after the Broncos' secondary was burned badly in the divisional playoff loss to Baltimore,Billiga Air Max.
